Dove Hunting in Argentina in 2006
Monday 22 September 2008 @ 3:09 am

Dove Hunting in Argentina Feb. 2006 Pa has a limit of 12 Doves
per day. So you can imagine that this is not where you will find
me. I took my son Jamie and went to Argentina where there is no
limit. We were accompanied by several friends from our area of
Bucks County Pa. We spent a week on this trip. We were able to
see some of this finest Dove hunting areas in the world. There
are millions of doves in this region of Argentina near Cordoba.
Over the last two decades, Cordoba province has become
synonymous with the phrase “High-volume dove hunting.” The
region has a delightful climate that allows grain crops such as
corn, sorghum, wheat and peanuts to flourish most of the year.
This enormous food supply is bordered and interspersed with
density hillside roosting cover, and the combination of food
source and roost has produced a population of Zenaida Auriculata
estimated to be over 20 million birds — Argentina doves that do
not migrate, reproduce up to four times annually and provide
literally year-round shooting. These birds have been estimated
to consume up to one third of the grain crops in the area. Dove
hunting in Argentina is an activity that must be experienced
rather than explained. Dove and Pigeon are considered to be
plague in the area, so there are no bag limits or seasons for
hunting them. Hunters regularly use two guns and a reloader to
prevent barrel overheating, as they may go through 1,000 ( a
thousand) rounds in a morning. Because of this last reason and
the fact that they are considered a plague, the local
authorities have not established any bag limits or special
seasons for dove hunting. For more on our hunting and fishing go

JUST IN CASE: What Biz Emergencies Are You Prepared For?
Friday 19 September 2008 @ 9:24 am

Everyone knows life is always full of unexpected surprises.

Some Good, Some Bad..

But no matter how severe or how simple an emergency, it still
messes up your daily routine. So you have to be prepared to
handle certain emergencies that are just a part of life.

We all get sick, or maybe your children has a mild illness. What
if one day a thunder storm knocks out not only the power but
everything plugged into that source. Are you prepared to deal
with the loss of your computer??

Who Can You Turn To If You Have To Take A Hiatus From Your
Business?

These are just some of the problems that you may face at any time
or any place.

DID YOU BURY YOUR COMPUTER TODAY??

What can you do if your pc crashes ? If it is still fixable then
you can take it to the repair shop or if you have the money
available, you can just buy another one..

But since money doesn’t grow on trees, there are some simple
solutions to deal with a missing computer.

Duh, Use a Friends Computer

Technology is becoming cheaper these days, therefore every where
you turn someone owns a computer these days, so you can always
ask a friend or relative for the use of their computer.

If that is not an option or they just told you No, plain and
simple..

You can always go to the Public Library.

Free, Free, and Free. There, enough said..

You can also check in on some deals to rent a computer for the
time being. In the long run, it can add up, but if you are
debating between the loss of potential sales because you are not
able to process orders, or receive important email, then yes this
will be money well spent.

It doesn’t matter how brilliant or how stupid your online
business plan is, if you don’t have a computer, you have sort of
thrown yourself out of the game before you even had a chance to
pitch.

DO YOU HAVE A BIZ BUDDY??

If you have to handle an emergency out of town or need to be
hospitalized for any reason whatsoever, can someone else handle
your business until you are better?

Maybe Your Spouse Or A Good Friend?

Now since our business seems fairly high tech to everyone else,
your biz buddy would have to someone you would trust with your
email, your passwords, access to your website control panel.

You know those little things

Your Biz Buddy shouldn’t be someone you have exchanged two emails
with and figure that you really know this person.

Some of the best friendships have been those that were formed
online, even relationships.

But especially Business Relationships have really took off
online.

Always have a backup Owner.

Sounds funny but depending on the nature of your business, the
reality is customers and clients can only wait so long.

It is good to have at least someone who may be able to

–Publish An Issue Or Two

—Answer Email

—-Make Changes To Your Website

—Process Orders For You

JUST SOME PLAIN ‘OL BACK UP ADVICE

These emergencies are more common.

Loss of files, and programs in your computer.

While we have to deal with viruses on a daily basis, just a
simple backing up of our files will save you hours of endless
frustration.

Whether you have a cd-rewrite able drive, or a bunch of floppy
disks, online storage or just have everything printed out, how
can you protect your files and business without a back up.

If one of your business plans didn’t work out, what would you do?

Give up, because that was the only plan you had, or just came up
with a back up plan.

See…

The whole point of this is to get you to realize that although
emergencies come up that are unavoidable, you can still prepare
yourself

Introduction To Photoionization
Thursday 18 September 2008 @ 6:47 pm

A Photo-Ionization Detector (PID) measures real-time concentrations of organic and inorganic vapors in low levels from parts-per-billion (ppb) up to 10,000 parts-per-million (ppm). A PID is a very sensitive instrument used in a wide variety of applications such as:

*Hazardous waste sites

*Clean-up of spills

*Protecting workers from toxic vapors

*Refineries

*Leak detection for compliance

*Pulp and paper plants

*Hazardous materials response

*Terrorist chemical attacks

How Does a PID Work?

A PID uses an ultraviolet (UV) lamp to ionize molecules, causing them to release an electron and form a positive ion. This will occur when the ionization potential (IP) of the molecule is less than the electron volt (eV) output of the UV lamp (i.e., 10.6eV, 11.7eV, or 11.8eV). Ions formed in the air are driven in one direction by a bias electrode and accumulated at a collecting electrode. The ion current is then amplified and converted to a digital meter readout in parts-per-million (ppm). The most common UV lamps used in field work are 10.6eV, 11.7eV, and 11.8eV. The useful lifespan of the 10.6EV is about 3,000 hours, the 11.7eV is about 200 hours, and the 11.8eV is about 500 hours. Of course, these lifespans are all dependent on how carefully the lamps are used and maintained.

View a diagram.

When to use a PID

PID’s are primarily screening devices. They will detect any volatile organic compound (VOC) with an ionization potential below the electron volt rating of the lamp. Simply put, a PID tells you that something is there, never what it is (besides that it is a voc), and only sometimes how much. For example, the standard calibration for a PID is 100ppm Isobutylene, if isobutylene is the only VOC in the air the ppm reading on the instrument is an accurate representation of how much Isobutylene is present. However, if there is or can be other VOC’s in the air, you can only be certain that something is there, not what or how much. Sometimes PID’s can be calibrated to other gases, like Hexane. Many PID’s contain built in correction factors that allow the instrument to be calibrated to Isobutylene but have the reading adjusted for other gases.

A healthy home
Saturday 6 September 2008 @ 4:47 am

Your home is your castle. You decide, possibly together with
family members, what to make of it.

Outside our home we have limited opportunities to improve
the environment, but in our home we can do a lot.

At home we want to feel free, relax and do things that we
like. We want to eat, sleep, exercise, maybe work, and
socialize with friends and family. We spend many hours at
home. Naturally, we want our home to be as comfortable and
healthy as possible.

What surroundings make you happy? What things do you like to
have around you? Feeling good at home is a matter of
physical as well as mental and social well-being. Look
around you and think about what changes can be made in your
home environment. Start with something small, one step at a
time. Make a small change every day, and after a week the
difference will be considerable.

Your home – a place for personal growth and well-being
Your home should be a refuge where you can hide from the
rest of the world and find strength to go on with life. Why
not follow these ten steps:

1. Put away things that you don’t need. Too many things
disturb the eye and make it hard to relax. Only surround
yourself with things that you need or things that will
enrich your life.
2. Stick to a few colours – two or three – for each room,
instead of mixing many different colours. This will help you
create a calm and balanced atmosphere.
3. Make sure you have good ventilation. Leave doors between
rooms open for better air circulation, and open windows when
possible.
4. Don’t smoke in your home. Ask your visitors to smoke
outside.
5. Choose area rugs instead of carpets when possible.
6. Use cleaning products with low-toxic content.
7. Choose furniture and fittings made of non-toxic
materials.
8. Make sure your sleeping place is comfortable and healthy.
The pillow is important. Do you often wake up with a
headache? You might need a new pillow.
9. Make your kitchen table as pleasant and welcoming as
possible. When you sit down to eat you must be able to relax
and enjoy your meal. Are there papers or magazines on the
table? Too many different colours? Keep it simple and
clean.
10. Buy some new flowers for your home. Decorate your home
with candle lights. Small simple things like these will
influence your well-being.

Deciding on the Greatest High Speed Internet Access Offer
Friday 5 September 2008 @ 11:33 pm

When broadband users can be found looking at the fast broadband market place browsers will often feel overwhelmed. The fast broadband market is full to the brim with providers offering so many high speed broadband packages with varies internet speeds and download allocations.

Broadband users might wish to find out about every fast broadband business directly to learn what packages the organisation give, download speeds the provider provide and the firm’s conditions and terms. If broadband users want to read this broadband info in one site browsers may wish to view a high speed internet comparison site.

If you currently have a high speed internet firm and want to find a different firm then nothing should prohibit you from going elsewhere, especially if a monetary saving is to be made. Broadband comparison businesses might often be able to show broadband users through the process and what steps may be taken.

When potential customers are seeking for the best deal price should not be the primary factor. Many high speed internet access corporations will promote a truly low entry deal to pull likely customers over to them. When high speed broadband packages are very low in price please make sure you discover what internet speed the broadband firm will provide, what download limits you yourself will be provided with and also the length of the internet contract. The download allocation is essential as loads of organisations might well charge browsers per Gigabyte that browsers go over, so if your package has an 8 Gigabyte download limits and surfers download ten comedy movies that month, you are more than likely to have downloaded 10GB (i.e. one Gigabyte per movie) – which is 2GB’s in excess of your allocation, and which is 2GB worth of internet downloads the supplier can charge over and above your monthly internet package cost. Find the best TalkTalk packages and deals with Compare Broadband UK.

When selecting the greatest offer please do not forget to check whether or not the firm will charge a sign up fee and if there are any costs associated with being provided a wireless broadband router. The above further charges will probably all mount up and browsers can often be left with little savings when compared to other broadband packages.

Thankfully, broadband provider comparison businesses might often highlight any extra charges and internet users can make a guided and unbiased decision.
